Really..Really..Our Public Schools could use that money!

Texas' School Fund might invest in charter school facilities

The State board of education wants to invest money in to charter schools with hopes of a return. This is absolutely absurd for them to even consider investing in any charter schools, simply because they have “x” amount of public schools that could sure use some investment in them. So many of our public school could use computer labs, after school programs and more specialized training for teachers so they can teach the kids appropriately. Then we would not have so many low performing schools. The state board is expecting to get a return from this investment, when actuality charter schools do not make profit the money that is made goes to repair classrooms in their building. The State Board just needs to stick to helping educate those who want to be educated in our public school systems.
